Documents for baptism in Greece
For organizing the sacrament of Baptism, it is necessary to provide the documents below:
- The birth certificate of the child, the original one with the stamp Apostille Stamp
- A photocopy of the child's passport (if the child doesn’t have a passport, then a photocopy of the passport of one of the parents into which the child is inscribed)
- Certificate of baptism of the godparent, original
- A photocopy of the godparent’s passport
* The birth certificate must be certified with the APOSTILLE, stamped by the parents themselves.
ATTENTION: It is necessary to arrive in Greece 2 working days prior to the baptism in the region of the ceremony to meet with the priest performing the sacrament.
